Blue Sea International Limited was incorporated in the Isle of Man on 22nd July 2004 and is the holder of class 3 and class 4 financial services licences issued under section 7 of the Financial Services Act 2008.
Blue Sea International offers a full range of services including the establishment of collective investment schemes and their management, administration, shareholder services, accounting and valuation.
It is our aim to provide a professional, efficient and flexible fund administration service to clients globally. We are an independent company and able to offer flexibility that our larger competitors may only aspire to. This benefits clients as we are able to provide a bespoke service to each of their individual needs.
We use an intergrated fund accounting and shareholder services system built and designed by Pacific Fund Systems. The PFS Paxus Fund Administration System is used by some well known investment management and fund administration companies such as Custom House Administration & Corporate Services Limited, Credit Suisse Asset Management, Bermuda Commercial Bank, Forum Fund Services Limited and Apex Fund Services Ltd. Directors
Mr Desai graduated in economics from the University of East Anglia and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a Member of the Securities and Investments Institute. Mr Desai is a founding member and director of Cavendish Trust Company Limited, licensed as a trust and corporate service provider by the Isle of Man Financial Supervision Commission. Mr Desai is a director of the Manager and is involved with the structuring, management and administration of collective investment schemes.
Jayne Evett has had many years’ experience in the investment field. Prior to her employment by Blue Sea International, Jayne was employed for 5 years by Caledonian Trust (IOM) Limited as Manager of the fund services department and for 11 years by MeesPierson (Isle of Man) Limited as a Manager in the fund services department and as an Investment Adviser in the investment management department where her clients were high net worth individuals. Jayne currently assists promoters and sponsors to set up offshore fund companies and manages the fund services operation for Blue Sea International.
Nigel A A McFarlane is Company Secretary as well as a Director. Before joining Blue Sea International, he spent four months at the Bank of Bermuda, Isle of Man in the role of Senior Fund Administrator, a position which he also held at Caledonian Trust (IOM) Limited where he was employed between January 2003 and July 2004. Nigel worked for Fortis Fund Services (IOM) Limited from 1997 to 2002, latterly as Account Manager, responsible for the valuation of clients’ funds and all aspects of administration for new and existing clients. To broaden his knowledge of offshore financial services, in 2001 he spent three months on secondment in Grand Cayman. His professional career began at Clerical Medical International in 1993, where he gained experience in fund administration and insurance accounting. Nigel studied at the University of Durham, gaining an honours degree in Latin, and at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. He is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, admitted in March 2001 and a Member of the Securities Institute.
